Addicks at full strength for Foxes

Charlton have no new injury worries and Alan Curbishley is set to field a full-strength side for the visit of Leicester City on Sunday. Curbishley is set to name a full-strength side

The major boost for Curbishley is that Republic of Ireland midfielder Mark Kinsella is likely to return to the starting line-up. Kinsella has made one start since the turn of the year against Coventry City over a month ago but has missed out on the last two games.

Dean Kiely is still ruled out of action with a groin injury, which means that Sasa Ilic will play his fifth successive game.

Kinsella, Chris Powell, Radostin Kishishev, Claus Jensen, Shaun Bartlett, Paul Konchesky, Scott Parker and Jonatan Johansson all returned from international duty without any problems.

John Robinson looks to have recovered from stomach muscle injury and should also feature.

Probable line-up: Ilic, Powell, Kishishev, Fish, Jansen, Kinsella. Rufus, Todd, Bartlett, Johansson and Stuart.

Scott Parker seals Addicks future

Scott Parker is the latest Addicks star to put pen to paper on a new four-year contract following talks with the club. Parker commits his future to Charlton

Parker agreed to the deal after talks with Alan Curbishley when he returned from international duty with the England under-21 side.

Parker will be at the club for the next four years after becoming a first-team regular at The Valley this season. He has become established in the first-team since he returned from a loan spell with First Division Norwich City.

Parker has started every game since January 1 apart from the clash with Coventry City when he was suspended.

The 20 year-old has started 20 games with another 26 appearances as a sub, scoring two goals, one against Derby County earlier this year.

Parker's commitment to the club comes less than six months after he said that he would consider leaving if he didn't get a first-team place.

Andy out of the hunt this season

Striker Andy Hunt has been told that he won't play again this season after failing to recover from a long-standing virus.

Hunt has played for the first-team since the end of September because of a post viral fatigue syndrome, which leaves its victim short of energy.

The Addicks leading scorer last season started the opening eight games of the season and he scored three goals in as many games.

Hunt has played four reserve team games since getting the green light to resume playing again but suffered a set back. And now he has been advised to take a complete rest and return to training with the rest of the squad at the start of next season.

Hunt was hoping to be back in the first-team by now it has been decided that it would be best for him if he took a rest.

Addicks to miss out on starlet

Alan Curbishley looks to have missed out on signing Arbroath's highly rated Scottish central defender Andy Webster.

The 18-year-old spent a week on trial with the Addicks earlier in the year after catching the eye of club scouts. He trained with the first-team squad for a week before returning to the Scottish Second Division side. However, he made no secret at the time of his desire to remain in Scotland and wasn't keen on moving south of the border at this early stage in his career.

Webster, who has been a regular in the Arbroath side this season, is reported in the Scottish media to have turned down Dundee United as well and now looks set to join Hearts for £75,000 after spending a week at Tynecastle before travelling to Sparrows Lane.

It would appear that Charlton's interest in the player was cooling anyway following the emergence of Daniel Shittu.

Shittu to miss out for Nigeria

Addicks defender Danny Shittu is set to reject the chance to play for Nigeria in a friendly game next weekend.

Shittu, who is currently on loan with Third Division Blackpool, has been called up into the Super Eagles squad for a friendly with Libya.

Blackpool have a crucial game against Rochdale next Saturday when he is wanted by the country he left at the age of 12. The 20-year-old has won rave reviews for his performances since he signed for Blackpool a couple of months ago.

Shittu is due to make a decision this weekend about whether or not he is going to travel to Tripoli or stay in Blackpool.

Shittu believes that it is unlikely to be the last time that he is called up for international duty if he does reject the offer. The Addicks youngster signed from non-league Carlshalton recently signed a new contract keeping him at The Valley for the next two-years.

Eriksson assures Powell

Chris Powell has been told that his England career isn't over despite being dropped for England's 3-1 win over Albania on Wednesday Powell - assured of England future despite missing Albania clash.

Powell who has won two caps was replaced by Arsenal's Ashley Cole for the game after a nervous display against Finland. Cole put himself in pole position for more caps with a fine display while Powell didn't even make it as far as the bench.

Sven-Goran Eriksson said that he now knows that he has two left sided defenders in this country and that Powell was still in his plans.

Meanwhile Mark Kinsella was rested by the Republic of Ireland for their 3-0 win over Andorra on Wednesday evening. Mick McCarthy said that was giving Kinsella a rest because he has recently missed a lot of football following a long-spell on the sidelines.
