Transfer Rumours From Aston Villa

Aston Villa to Sign striker Rudy Gestede from Blackburn Rovers

The highly rated Blackburn striker has been tiped for the premeirship, scoring 22 goals in the championship, valued at around 7 million pounds, the 6ft 4inch frontman would make an excellent target man for the goal shy villa team.

After the loss of Christian Benteke and Tim Sherwood is looking to bolster his front line having already bringing in Emmanuel Adebayor and Jordan Ayew.

Villa Look to Cherry Pick from Relegated teams

20/5/15 - Now Burnley and QPR are confirmed for relegation Villa are set to look over their assets with a view of making a few signings in the summer, both teams have valuable striking assets in Chalie Austin and Danny Ings, both have been heavily linked with a host of Premier League clubs such as Liverpool but they may see Villa as a great opportunity to get first team football at an established Premier League club if a deal can be struck. If Ron Vlaar doesn`t sign a new contract with Villa then Steven Caulker could be an option for Villa, the defender was once touted as a future England International and the midlands club could provide the perfect opportunity to get back on that track and an escape from the Championship. Many QPR players are out of contract in the summer but would want high wages and would not likely be good prospects for Aton Villa. Burnley meanwhile are less vulnerable and don`t share QPR`s financial fair play troubles and are likely to be able to keep hold of more of their players.

Villa in for Mascherano and Pedro

Javier Mascherano rumour18/5/14 - Rumours are circulating regarding an improbable Aston Villa move for Barcelona Javier Mascherano and Pedro as Tim Sherwood looks to add proven quality to a squad which has narrowly avoided relegation this term, sounds a bit far-fetched this one, not sure how Villa`s wage structure will fell about these potential signings.

United Attempt to Bring Pogba Back to the Fold

17/5/2015 - If reports are to be believed Manchester United are trying to bring Paul Pogba back to the club despite Sir Alex Ferguson accusing the midfielder of disrespecting the club when he left for Juventus on a free transfer in 2012, having left the club for free it would take a massive fee to lure him back as well as some relationship counselling. Bayerm Munich`s German star Thomas Muller is also on the clubs radar as is a new goalkeeper with David De Gea looking like making a move to Real Madrid.

james wilson man utd rumour

James Wilson Set for Villa Loan

16/5/2015 - Reports suggest Aston Villa have contacted Manchester united about a possible loan move for their hot prospect striker James Wilson. The young forward is held in high regard at Old Trafford but has seen his playing time limited to cup games and substitute appearances this term due to the embarrassment of riches available to LVG this year.

Wilson is thought to be well down the pecking order behind Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao not to mention Juan Mata, Angel Di Maria and even MarouaneFellaini starting ahead of him in forward positions so United may be willing to let him go out on loan to find first team football. Whether he would find regular starts at Aston Villa Remains to be seen with Christian Benteke and Gabriel Agbonlahor seen as the first choice pairing although Benteke may not be plying his trade at Villa Park next year.

Chelsea Eye Up Man City Duo

15/5/15 - Reports suggest Chelsea are looking to enhance their squad at the detriment of the title rival Manchester City, reports suggest they are looking over a sensational move for Yaya Toure and EdinDzeko.

Where Next For Benteke?

Christian Benteke has been in scintillating form after recovering from injury problems at the end of this season and as such he has been linked with a move some of the biggest premier league teams this summer. Tim Sherwood thinks it would be best for Benteke`s career if he were to stay at Villa and the club`s stock has risen after surviving relegation and booking their place in the FA cup final. A place in the Europa league may be enough to keep the big Belgian at Villa Park in the short term but surely the champions league will be too strong a lure for the clinical striker at some point in the not too distant future.

Darren Bent Leaves Door Open For Shock Villa Return

7/5/15 - Darren Bent has said he may return to Aston Villa despite his contract coming to an end and the end of the season. Bent has spent much of the season on loan at Derby County after falling out of favour with Paul Lambert following a good first few seasons at Villa Park and has revealed a clean slate may entice him to stay at Villa but will leave his options open and may stay at Derby County.

Tom Cleverley Looks set to Join Everton

6/5/15 - The ex-England ace has spent this season on loan with Aston Villa and in the large part has not received too many plaudits, but since Tim Sherwood has taken over the Villa job Cleverley’s fortunes have been turned around and he has started to look like the player Sir Alex Ferguson bought to Manchester United in the first place. Cleverley`s United contract runs out at the end of the season and his signature will be hot property come the new season. Sherwood has spoken highly of the industrious midfielder and clearly wants him to stay but Everton are thought to be at the front of the queue to sign the player. With sources now claiming interest from German giants Wolfsburg and Premier League heavyweights Arsenal surely Villa will find it tough to hold onto Cleverley next year.
